What It's ACTUALLY Like To Disclose Your Child Sexual Abuse | My Personal Story
Today is the day I talk about what it was like to disclose to my family that I was a survivor. This wasn't an easy video to create because it brought me back to a moment in time that was extremely painful for both family and myself, but I knew I had to make it anyway, and here is why... I was lucky, I had been blessed with an amazing therapist that helped me navigate this life-changing moment. She prepared me for things I didn't even know I needed to be prepared for, and she helped me make the transition from "Taking It To The Grave" to "Me Too".
In this video, I share with you all the preparation that took place prior to my "Me Too" moment. If you are considering disclosing your own abuse, you will want to think about all of the "What If's" that could potentially arise so you are prepared. Join me as I take you back to this moment in time and open my heart and my life in the hopes to shed light on what "Me Too" is really like for a survivor of childhood sexual abuse.
