U Grow Girl is a survivor-led nonprofit rooted in land, community, and care.

Who We Are

U Grow Girl exists to ensure healing support remains accessible to adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse—particularly in rural and underserved communities.

We are survivor-led, trauma-informed, and community-rooted. Our work is designed to hold steady over time, creating access without pressure, urgency, or exposure.

Healing is not a single moment. It is a condition we help keep possible.

What Makes This Work Distinct

U Grow Girl does not ask survivors to share their pain for proof.

We do not rely on urgency, visibility, or emotional appeal to generate support.

We do not position donors as saviours or survivors as stories.

Instead, we build sustainable pathways to healing access—so support is there when someone is ready, not when a campaign demands it.

This business exists because something practical is broken—and here is how we fix it.

Our Pathways to Healing Access

Time To Heal

Canada’s only free, trauma-informed retreat experience of its kind for adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse.

Collective Participation

Ways individuals, families, and businesses

contribute through flowers, events,

volunteering, and aligned giving.

Care Through Visibility

Community partnerships and everyday offerings that quietly signal support exists—

without requiring disclosure.

Future-Focused Prevention

A healing-first approach grounded in the belief that prevention begins with support, not silence

.

How We Work

U Grow Girl operates through a social enterprise model that prioritizes sustainability, dignity, and long-term access.

  • We plan funding in advance to protect program stability

  • We donate 100% of net proceeds toward healing access

  • We design participation that does not require disclosure

  • We prioritize choice, readiness, and care in every offering

Language & Ethics

We are guided by trauma-informed principles in everything we share.

  • We speak from the scar, not the wound

  • We avoid urgency and emotional pressure

  • We let land, imagery, and shared words do the work

  • We keep agency with survivors, not supporters

Healing is held with care, dignity, and choice.

Environmental & Place-Based Practice

We take our responsibility to land and place seriously.

Our work is rooted in sustainable growing practices, local partnerships, and care for the environments that hold us. We believe stewardship and healing are deeply connected.

We acknowledge that our work takes place on the unceded traditional territory of the Secwépemc Nation.
